2023 A Successful Year For CK Crime Stoppers

Thanks to hundreds of public tips received in 2023, Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers has helped police lay dozens of charges and take $1 million worth of drugs off the street.

Crime Stoppers received a total of 543 tips last year, which led to 10 arrests and 32 charges laid. A total of 86 cases were also cleared and officers were able to seize roughly $1 million in illicit drugs as a result.

Since its inception in 1987, Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers has been responsible for taking over $104 million worth of illegal drugs off the streets, along with 340 illegal weapons. The organization has also helped recover over $10 million in stolen property. 

Over the last 36 years, Crime Stoppers has received over 30,000 tips from the public, resulting in over 7,600 arrests.
